About Us

Over 18 years, The Urban Muse has been consistently voted the “Best Day Spa in NJ”. Our modern facility operates (Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri: 10am-9pm | Sat: 9am–9pm | Sun: 10am - 4pm | Tue: Closed) and features a two-story holistic spa offering 2 relaxation rooms, 10 treatment rooms, 2 Infrared Saunas, multi-person Salt room, 3 steam showers, and a 1,000 sq. foot retail space. The Urban Muse team is staffed with 50+ employees between the front and back of the house.

About You

  • You are compassionate, outgoing, and dedicated to a high level of customer service and the ability to multi-task

  • You have worked in a successful and high-paced spa and/or retail business, and must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • You can work with a motivated team, driving growth opportunities from retail sales goals to spa excellence and service.

  • You have experience using POS and/or spa booking software

  • You demonstrate sound decision-making ability for the best needs of the business, and top-notch customer service

  • You have an eye for detail, a drive for efficiency and a heart for hospitality

  • You are motivated and curious, volunteering for new challenges without waiting to be asked

RESPONSIBILITIES:

RETAIL | RECEPTIONIST

  • Being knowledgeable about our spa services and retail products to assist clients on the retail floor

  • Answering phones and scheduling spa appointments

  • Greeting clients, checking clients in for service, and escorting clients to the spa

  • Communicating with spa team when clients arrive

  • Checkout clients for spa services and retail products

  • Maintain the sales floor, cash wrap, and retail store environment to company standards of neat, clean, and organized for employees and customers to enjoy.

SPA HOST

  • Greeting clients in a professional and positive manner to provide them a warm and welcoming experience

  • Doing laundry (sorting, cycle through the washer and dryer, fold, and put away)

  • Restocking and organizing spa products and supplies for spa use to ensure customers always have what they need in the spa

  • Cleaning and setting up showers, Saunas and Salt room before and after client use

  • Escorting clients to relax room, and starting the use of the steam/shower, salt room, or saunas.

  • Having a strong eye for detail, maintaining spa (relaxation rooms, spa showers, salt room, saunas, and break rooms) to ensure the environment is safe and presentable for employees and customers.

  • Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Being able to stand, go up/downstairs and move about for extended periods of time with only short rest breaks; reach, bend, stoop, etc. to handle products, laundry, and spa equipment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills specifically with; customers, sales leadership team, and associates.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast‐paced environment

  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

  • Proficient with technology.

  • Available to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

EXPERIENCE:

Sales | Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

SHIFTS:

We have 3 shifts each day: AM Shift: 9am-3pm (Sat 8am – 3pm) | Swing Shift: 11am-6pm, | PM shift: 2:30pm – 9:30pm. We require availability for evening and weekends shifts (Sunday shift availability a must)

STORE | SPA HOURS

Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri: 10am - 9pm | Sat: 9am -9pm | Sun: 10am - 4pm
